What's the difference between THE JIGBOX™ and other similar boxes?

The answer is quite simple. Our unique patented foam design truly allows for heavier weight jigs to be stored and transported without slipping or falling out of place. by supporting the entire hook. The problem with boxes that are on the market now is that they were designed to store lighter jigs. Although people have attempted to use these boxes to store larger sized jigs, once a certain size threshold is exceeded, those boxes become ineffective for two different reasons. First, some of the boxes on the market are too shallow and the lids cannot even close with jigs exceeding 2-3oz. The other problem is that the foam design utilized in those boxes rely on a shallow slit pattern adapted from fly fishing that only supports the hook point and not the entire hook like our design does. The bottom line is that THE JIGBOX™ works, and works well.

How many jigs can the boxes hold and will it fit in my tackle bag?

Although there is no exact answer because different lures and jigs have so many different profile sizes, I can provide you with an approximate answer. The Type 1 box was design for larger jigs and can hold about 12-14 bucktails or ball jigs in the 4-6oz range. As far as smaller profile jigs that utilize larger hook sizes like rattle teasers or poisontails, the Type 1 box can store about 20 jigs. The Type 2 box on the other hand can hold a variety of jigs ranging up to 4oz. Depending on the combination of jigs you chose to carry, you can fit up to approximately 60 jigs in one box.

As far as the size of the box and what bags it will fit in, The Type 1 and 2 both have the same dimensions (25cm x 19cm x 4cm) and are very simliar in size to the Plano 3600 boxes. The allows our boxes to be carried in almost all common tackle bags including the smaller shoulder bags.
